Efy 2009!

This summer i got to go to EFY up in Provo, Utah, It was the most amazing experiance of my life! I got to go with my two best friends, Hannah and Michael, and I'm so glad that we all got to go together! On the first day there was a little trouble checking in but it soon was all settled and then we got to meet our company, Continue in Faith. After that we went to a session director fireside, our directors were Brother and Sister Searle. They were soo much fun! Since it was Monday night we had a family home evening and we played games and had a lesso from our couselor, Shaun. On the second day we went to classes, one of the classes that we went to was taught by Brother Gray who is a professional magician and it was the most amazing class of my life! We actually ending up going to his class about 3 more times. ha. The night of the second night we had a dance and that was way fun also. On Wednesday we went to classes again, then in the evening we walked basically to the BYU stadium and played games and had a cheer-off. Our company won! We did a syncronized swimming kind of dance. Then we went back to our dorm rooms and had a pizza party in the hallways. Thursday was the spiritual day, my favorite. During the day we went a fire side for the young women and the young men went to theirs. Then we went to lunch and after lunch we went to the Variety Show. There were sooo many good performances! My favorite was the group of boys who did an interperative dance to Taylor Swift's song, Love Story. I also liked the group of boys who did a ribbon dance to Colors of the Wind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PDaKc_KJWE
That night we had a musical program and then went to have testimony meeting. This meeting was the most spiritual experiance i have ever had. I started crying during Hannah's testimony, she was the second person to go, and didn't stop until we walked out of the room! On the way back to the dorms all the boys started singing I am a Child of God and I started to cry all over again. It was soo amazing how strong the spirit was the entire time we were up at EFY. On Friday we went to Strength of Youth classes and did a service project. Then at night we had another dance and the closing cerimony. At the end of the closing cerimony we sang the EFY medley. As we were singing we stood in a circle and had our arms around eachother and right when the boys started singing i started crying, i don't know what it is but when guys sing it makes me cry. Then we walked back to the dorms and just hung out with the girls in our hall. Then at like 11:30 we got really hungry so we had Hannah's sister Heidi bring us pizza and we sat in the hallway and just talked about the week. Then in the morning we said bye to everyone which was one of the saddest things ever. I had the most amazing time at EFY and I cannot wait to go back next year.!
